At Aranya, we offer classes in belly dance—including styles like Raqs Sharqi and Fusion—and yoga, as well as workshops, events, and performances. Location: Aranya Belly Dance & Movement Studio, Waterloo Region (or Remote)
Position Type: Part-time, Paid (10-15 hours per week)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Studio Coordinator to join our team. This person will help ensure the studio’s daily operations run smoothly, assisting with administrative tasks, customer service, and supporting event planning. If you’re organized, enjoy working in a creative setting, and have a passion for dance and community-building, we’d love to meet you!Responsibilities:
Assist the Studio Director: Provide day-to-day support with various tasks and special projects.
Studio Administration: Handle emails, phone calls, and general inquiries to keep operations running smoothly.
Manage Scheduling: Oversee class schedules, bookings, and registration using our booking software.
Customer Service: Deliver warm, welcoming service to all studio members and visitors.
Record-Keeping: Maintain organized records, including student attendance and payments.
Marketing Support: Help manage social media posts, create email newsletters, and update the website as needed.
Event Coordination: Assist with planning and setup for workshops, performances, and studio events.
Inventory Management: Monitor supplies and handle reorders as needed.
Additional Studio Support: Take on other administrative tasks to keep the studio running smoothly.
Qualifications:Experience: Proven experience in an administrative assistant role or similar.
Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media platforms.
Adaptability: Comfortable learning new tools (experience with Squarespace, Canva, or ConvertKit is a plus).
Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
Friendly Attitude: Customer-focused, with the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Passion for Dance: Interest or background in dance or the arts is a bonus!
Working Hours:
10-15 hours per week with potential for flexible scheduling to accommodate events and busy times. Some evening or weekend availability may be required.To Apply:
